Recently, after the holidays, Chris and I went on an detox cutting out Gluten, Sugar, Salt, Alcohol, Red Meat and Dairy. The hardest thing for me to kick was sugar. After lunch around 3:00pm  everyday I would have the biggest cravings for sugar. We were supposed to cut out caffeine but we’re not crazy.

The detox went  for 7 days and during that we happened to start juicing.

Oh My the results. I am already thin framed so take that into account with my results. But, 5 days into the detox I noticed a major change in my skin. The skin on my legs in particular had firmed up A LOT and the cellulite I had acquired over the past few years vanished. I didn’t know what to expect from the detox other than feeling healthier so these results were a very happy surprise.

Being blown away with my new body I did some quick research and found out that the detox I was on combined with the vegetables I was juicing combats cellulite. What are the odds that I followed a cellulite detox without even realizing it and then noticed results on my own without being told to watch for anything. It still boggles my mind.

I know you’re wondering what the detox is and what I am juicing. Here is the detox.

And here is what I was juicing:

  • Roughly 2 cups of Spinach
  • 3 Big Kale Leaves
  • 1 Carrot
  • 1/2 a Lemon (w/0 rind)
  • Slice of Ginger
  • Topped with Martinelli’s Apple Juice

  • I’ve since added
  • 1/2 a Cucumber
  • Parsley
  • Celery
  • 1/4 Beet Root

My skin looks better than it ever has and I have energy all day.
